When is the time of Sahar when supplications are answered, and what is the meaning of the word "Sahar"?

In the Arabic language, "sahar" (سحر) refers to a whiteness that appears over blackness. It is used with both the letters "seen" (س) and "sad" (ص), though "seen" is more common in the context of the pre-dawn (sahar of the morning), while "sad" is used for colors. In religious terms, it denotes the time just before dawn, or from the last third of the night until the appearance of dawn. It cannot be precisely pinpointed by hour and minute due to variations across countries and seasons. It has been mentioned as a time when supplications are answered, as stated in the hadith of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Our Lord, the Blessed and Exalted, descends every night to the lowest heaven when only the last third of the night remains, saying: 'Who is supplicating Me that I may answer him? Who is asking Me that I may give him? Who is seeking My forgiveness that I may forgive him?'"
