ما هي الليلة الساجية؟

"Laylah Sajiyah" (the dark night) is the dark or still night, as Allah Almighty says: "By the night when it covers." It may mean when it approaches with its darkness, or when it departs, or when it covers everything with darkness, or when it becomes even, or when its darkness settles and becomes still, not increasing thereafter. It is said: "Layl saaj" (a still night) and "bahr saaj" (a still sea) when it is calm.
