What is the significance of the night of mid-Sha’ban, and is a person's destiny for the coming year decided on it, and is it the night intended in Surat Ad-Dukhan?

It has not been authentically reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that the fate or destinies of individuals are determined on the night of mid-Sha'ban. As for the blessed night in which every wise امر (matter) is distributed, as mentioned in Surat Ad-Dukhan, it is Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Decree), and not the night of mid-Sha'ban. It was named Laylat al-Qadr because the angels record destinies in it, and it is better than a thousand months. Whoever stands in prayer during it with faith and hoping for reward will have his past sins forgiven.
