Do the children's suffering from marital problems that reach the point of contemplating escape and suicide constitute a valid reason for them to insist to their mother on requesting a divorce, despite her refusal due to financial and social fears? And is the children's Hajj considered acceptable and rewarded if it is accompanied by abuse and humiliation from the father? And is mentioning this suffering, when seeking advice, considered backbiting?

The father's right over his child is great, and honoring him is obligatory. You must honor your parents, treat them kindly, and obey them in what is good, and advise your father gently. Do not insist to your mother on demanding a divorce, and do not incite her to do so as long as she is patient. Beware of Satan's whispers to flee or commit suicide, for suicide is a grave major sin. Mentioning the father's faults for the purpose of consultation and seeking advice is permissible.
