How can one deal with severe marital disputes between parents, especially when the mother tends to end the relationship with divorce and prevents the children from communicating with their father, knowing that the father is the sole provider for the large family?

Parental disputes are a tribulation that requires wisdom and discernment from the children in dealing with them. This is achieved by the children gathering to study the problem and its causes to identify the wrongdoer. Then, they should advise their parents with politeness and respect, far from harshness, while demonstrating the evils of discord on the family. They should remind the father of his wife's rights and the importance of kind companionship, and remind the mother of her husband's rights over her and the obligation to obey him, frightening her with Allah's questioning if she seeks divorce without a valid reason or expels him from the home. They should also remind them of the grave danger of separating spouses, and that it is among the most beloved things to Satan. It is permissible to lie to parents for the sake of reconciliation. If the children are unable to resolve the issue on their own, then two arbiters from their families, or trustworthy individuals, should be sought for assistance, along with seeking Allah's help and making supplication. If reconciliation is not achieved, then separation might be better for them: "But if they separate [by divorce], Allah will enrich each [of them] from His abundance. And ever is Allah all-Encompassing, all-Wise" (An-Nisa 4:130).
