Is it permissible or forbidden for a father to use "tanbal," and would I be sinful if I brought him this item?

The mentioned substance cannot be judged without knowing its true nature. However, if it harms the mind or body, or if it is impure (khabeetha), then its use is forbidden, based on the Almighty's saying: "And He makes lawful for them the good things and prohibits for them the impure" (Quran 7:157), and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There should be no harm nor reciprocating harm." But if it contains no impurity or harm, then it is permissible. If it is deemed forbidden, then it is not permissible to prepare it for the father or anyone else, based on the Prophet's saying, peace and blessings be upon him: "There is no obedience to a creature in disobedience to the Creator," while still emphasizing the duty to honor and be kind to the father and obey him in matters that do not involve disobedience.
