What is the ruling on a husband's control over his wife's money in Islam, and is a husband obligated to work and provide for his wife?

The wife's money is her own, and she has the right to possess and dispose of it in permissible ways. Zakat becomes obligatory on it if it reaches the nisab and a year has passed over it. The husband does not have the right to seize her money except with her good will. The household expenses are obligatory upon the husband, but if the wife relinquishes her right to maintenance, there is no harm in that. If the husband compels his wife to leave her job, this is his legal right.
