It is permissible for women to wear all types of jewelry, including gold, silver, and precious stones, provided there is no extravagance. It is not permissible for men to wear gold except out of medical necessity. It is permissible for men to wear a silver ring. As for precious stones and other valuable jewelry, it is permissible for men to wear them as long as there is no imitation of women or extravagance.
