Is it permissible to lie to one's father to avoid his anger if the truth would harm the son?

Lying is forbidden in itself, in all its forms and manifestations, whether it is to one's father, teacher, or anyone else, as Allah Almighty says: "O you who have believed, fear Allah and be with the truthful," and as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Leave that which makes you doubt for that which does not make you doubt, for truthfulness is tranquility and lying is doubt." It is possible to avert the father's anger through insinuation without lying, and truthfulness may save its owner and please his parents, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever angers people for the sake of Allah's pleasure, Allah will suffice him against the burden of people."
