It is permissible for a person to send blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) using a formula that has not been explicitly transmitted, as long as it does not contain any Sharia-prohibited elements, such as exaggeration (ghuluw) regarding him. However, one should not make it a regular litany (wird) that rivals the established Sunnah prayers. There is no mention in reliable sources of a prayer called "al-Radawiyyah." The best forms of sending blessings upon the Prophet are the Ibrahimiyyah prayers, which the Prophet taught his companions, such as: "O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent blessings upon Ibrahim and upon the family of Ibrahim, indeed, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious. O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You blessed Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim, indeed, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also taught another formula: "O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad, the unlettered Prophet, and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent blessings upon Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim, and bless Muhammad, the unlettered Prophet, as You blessed Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim, indeed, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious." However, the hadiths that mention the virtue of a specific prayer with the formula "the unlettered Prophet" are fabricated hadiths.
