Is it permissible for a woman to abort her fetus after two months of pregnancy resulting from zina with a prisoner, even though they have both repented, out of fear of scandal and the disintegration of her family?

The two adulterers must repent sincerely, for their act is a grave crime and a heinous betrayal. This is affirmed by the hadith: "that you commit adultery with your neighbor's wife." It is not permissible for the woman to abort the pregnancy, as that is another crime and the fetus is innocent. Abortion facilitates concealing the sin. The woman should have preserved her husband's right and stayed away from sources of temptation. If her desires overwhelmed her, she should have brought her matter before the Shariah courts to help her visit her husband or request a divorce.
