What is the interpretation of the Hadith: "The five (daily) prayers, Jumu'ah to Jumu'ah, and Ramadan to Ramadan are expiations for what occurs between them, provided that major sins are avoided"?

This person is arrogant and on the verge of perdition if they do not repent. The Hadith (definition) promised forgiveness of sins for those who maintained obedience, not an enticement to commit sins. Persistence in minor sins makes them major sins, which acts of obedience cannot expiate. A servant might commit a sin they deem minor, yet it is great in the sight of Allah. Lenience towards minor sins weakens faith and encourages major sins, as they are a precursor to them. A believer must be wary of sins, both minor and major.
