What is one obligated to do with a wife who attended a wedding that included objectionable acts, despite her husband's objection, and will insist on attending another similar wedding soon, knowing that the marital relationship is good and that the wife usually commits to avoiding such occasions?

You must remind your wife to repent, explain to her the ugliness of her action, and show her your displeasure. If necessary, you may shun her and stop speaking to her until she apologizes and repents; there is no harm in that. Shunning for the sake of Allah and for a legitimate religious interest is not restricted to three days, and it is permissible if it is for disciplining someone who commits innovation or immorality. We believe she will return to the truth if you explain her mistake to her.
