The wife's salary is her exclusive property, and her maintenance is obligatory upon the husband. The husband is not permitted to take anything from his wife's salary except with her willing consent, unless this was stipulated as a condition, or there is an established custom that takes the place of a condition. The husband has the right to demand from his wife the expenses she incurs due to her work, just as the wife has the right to demand from her husband what he took from her salary.
