The answer

You must strive against yourself to curb these symptoms. It is good to seek help from trustworthy doctors. You are not sinful for these involuntary changes, for "Allah does not burden a soul beyond its capacity." Rather, you will be rewarded for your patience and struggle. If, due to these changes, you deviate from the Sacred Law and commit something forbidden, hasten to sincere repentance, for "indeed, good deeds do away with ill deeds." The intention is to adapt to the symptoms in a way that does not lead you to violate the Sacred Law. If a violation occurs, address it with repentance and erasing good deeds.
