Are socialism and capitalism considered greater disbelief (kufr akbar), even though most Islamic countries apply the capitalist economic system?

Socialism and capitalism are two infidelic theories that clash with Islam, because they are based on atheism and disbelief in religions, and they deny the existence of God and the Hereafter. The capitalist system sees no role for the state other than protecting the owners of capital, and does not object to ideological chaos as long as it does not harm their wealth. It is based on control, monopoly, and the exploitation of labor.

Adherence to atheistic ideologies such as communism, secularism, capitalism, and others, is considered apostasy from the religion of Islam. Even if the adherent claims to be Muslim, that is a major hypocrisy.

However, not everyone who belongs to a group that adopts infidelic ideas is an infidel. It is not permissible to declare a specific individual an infidel without establishing proof against him. Moreover, a distinction must be made between judging an action as disbelief (kufr) and judging the perpetrator as an infidel (kafir). Judging the perpetrator requires considering their circumstances due to the possibility of impediments to declaring someone an infidel, such as ignorance, coercion, and misinterpretation.
