What is the ruling on listening to the Quran during light work that does not distract one from concentrating, and what if a colleague refuses to listen, claiming it makes him lose focus on the Quran?

The ruling on listening attentively to the recitation of the Quran and the ruling on working while listening to it have been previously explained. What the colleague stated is correct in terms of the desirability of listening, paying attention, and reflecting upon the Quran. However, it is incorrect in terms of asserting that a lack of concentration should not be a reason to stop the Quranic recitation, for playing the Quran without concentration is better than stopping the recitation altogether.
