Does the prostration of recitation and that of thankfulness include the Tasleem (salutation of peace)?

Scholars differed regarding the ruling on giving salutations (taslim) for the prostration of recitation (sujud al-tilawah). The correct view is that it is not prescribed, due to the absence of any narration from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, concerning it, and due to the generality of his saying: "Whoever introduces into this matter of ours that which is not from it, it is rejected." The majority of scholars, contrary to the Shafi'is, have stated that it is not prescribed. The ruling on the prostration of thankfulness (sujud al-shukr) is like the ruling on the prostration of recitation outside of prayer, in terms of its manner and conditions.
