How can a poor 22-year-old young man, who cannot find a job with a sufficient salary, nor does he possess money for marriage, deal with his sexual desires, given that he is unable to fast to control them, and falls into masturbation and conversations with girls, despite his repeated repentance and his feeling of distress and fear of disobeying Allah, reaching the point of contemplating suicide?

Disobedience to God is a cause for difficulties in affairs, scarcity in sustenance, and a troubled life, as Almighty Allah says: {And whoever turns away from My remembrance – indeed, he will have a difficult life}. Therefore, one must hasten to sincere repentance and strive to remain steadfast upon it, and adhere to fasting and chastity for those who cannot afford marriage, for it is a protection for a person, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "And whoever is not able, then he must fast, for it will be a shield for him." One should also increase in prayer and the remembrance of Allah; for they deter from indecency and evil.
