Is what the man did —who transformed one dinar into ten dinars— with the utterance of strange phrases and a promise of their return to their original state, considered magic? And is witnessing it counted as a sin, knowing that he performs Hajj and Umrah?

What the man did, transforming paper currency, is a form of illusion and eye-deception mentioned in the Holy Qur'an. Attending such an act is permissible only for those who are capable of denouncing this evil, exposing its falsehood, and warning people against it. Mere presence is considered an encouragement to him, and if it is accompanied by belief, it is even more dangerous, according to the Hadith: "Whoever comes to a sorcerer or a soothsayer or a diviner and believes in what he says, has disbelieved in what was revealed to Muhammad." The performer's performance of 'Umrah and Hajj does not justify attending this act.
