To what extent is the authenticity of Al-Hasan Al-Basri's saying: "By Allah, I have seen a battlefield [or a scene of death], for which I will continue to work until I meet it"?

Al-Hasan al-Basri narrated that a man visited his brother during his death throes. He witnessed the intensity of the death agony and its distress. So he returned to his family and refused to eat his lunch, telling them to attend to their affairs and possessions, for he had seen a scene for which he would work until he met it. Scholars of Hadith have not spoken about its chain of narration in terms of authenticity or weakness, but its mention by prominent figures in their books indicates that there is nothing objectionable in it.
