Is it permissible for a wife to show her displeasure at her husband's drinking of alcohol, and how should she act if he drinks in front of her, bearing in mind that this is the only negative aspect of her marriage and she feels that a gentle approach might be more beneficial?

"Khamr (wine/alcohol) is the mother of all evils and must be avoided, along with everything connected to it. It is not permissible for a Muslim to sit in gatherings where alcohol is consumed. Rather, she must admonish her husband, advise him, and remind him of Allah. If he does not respond, then she must leave the gathering while he is drinking it. The wife should strive to control her emotions and call her husband with gentleness, kindness, and good counsel, while supplicating for his guidance in his absence, and raising her children with a sound upbringing, keeping them away from this evil."
