It is permissible for those in charge of the mosque to sell the water from the waqf well and spend its price on the mosque's interests, if the endower intended the well's benefit to return to the mosque, whether by worshippers using its water or by selling it and spending its price on the mosque. However, if she endowed it for worshippers to drink from and use for their purification, then selling its water is not permissible, because the consideration in a waqf is based on the endower's condition.
