Does charity prevent bad dreams or predestined calamities from occurring?

Charity repels affliction and calamities, as it was narrated from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Acts of kindness protect against evil deaths, and secret charity extinguishes the wrath of the Lord," and "Acts of kindness protect against evil deaths, afflictions, and destructions." And during a solar eclipse, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded charity to ward off affliction. Charity repels affliction even if it comes from a wicked person or a disbeliever. As for frightening dreams, they are from Satan, and their remedy is: concealing them, seeking refuge with Allah from Satan, spitting to the left three times, turning over from the side, and praying.
