What is the ruling on marrying a man of little religious commitment who listens to music and speaks with his female colleagues and his female cousins, both paternal and maternal, without necessity, and with jesting? And what should I do after performing Istikhara?

We advise accepting the suitor if he is diligent in performing the obligatory duties and avoids major sins, while also considering the totality of his characteristics and manners. The decisive factor is religion and character, even if he falls short in some matters. The preponderant opinion is that the one who performs Istikhara should proceed with the matter after Istikhara, unless Allah diverts him from it.
