Masturbation is forbidden by Islamic law, and one must hasten to abandon it, because repentance is obligatory without delay, as agreed upon by scholars, and it is not permissible to postpone it without an excuse. Repentance is achieved by fulfilling its three pillars: abstaining from the sin, regretting having committed it, and resolving never to return to it. If the disobedience relates to a human right, a fourth pillar is added, which is seeking forgiveness from the person whose right was violated.
