Is there anything wrong with the following supplication if one were to supplicate with it: "Praise be to Allah, the First, with none before Him, and the Last, with none after Him. Praise be to Allah, the Bestower of blessings, apparent and hidden. To You be praise until You are pleased, and to You be praise when You are pleased, and to You be praise after Your pleasure. To You be praise; we cannot enumerate Your praises; You are as You have praised Yourself. O Allah, send Your prayers and peace upon Your servant and messenger Muhammad. O Allah, O Ever-Living, O Self-Subsisting, O Possessor of Majesty and Honor, I entrust to You myself, my family, my offspring, and my spouse. Place us in Your protection, Your fortress, Your care, Your preservation, and under Your mercy, Your kindness, Your concealment, Your guardianship, Your concern, and Your nurturing. There is no god but You; glory be to You; indeed, we were among the wrongdoers. And there is no might or power except with You, O Most High, O Most Great"?
There is no impediment to the mentioned supplication, as long as it contains no sin or transgression. Some of it is even reported in the Sunnah. Nevertheless, the best approach is to supplicate with the supplications transmitted from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, because they are more complete and superior, by agreement of the Muslims, and this is to avoid falling into error or sin.
