Is it permissible for non-Muslim nurses to examine (a woman) after a C-section, knowing that this involves the exposure of the major 'awrah to more than one nurse? And does necessity dictate traveling to another country for the surgery where there are only Muslim nurses?

The 'awrah of a Muslim woman for another Muslim woman and for a disbeliever is from the navel to the knee. It is not permissible to uncover it except out of necessity, such as childbirth and medical treatment. If a specialized Muslim female doctor is available, she should examine the patient; otherwise, a trustworthy non-Muslim female doctor; then a Muslim male doctor; otherwise, a non-Muslim male doctor, with the presence of a mahram, husband, or a trustworthy woman, and the examination should be limited to the extent of the need. If no Muslim nurses are available, there is no harm in trustworthy non-Muslim nurses performing what is required for childbirth.
