You have done well by repenting from the sin, and among the conditions of sincere repentance is the firm resolve not to return to the disobedience. As for your husband, it is better to separate from him as long as he abuses you with insults and beatings, does not provide for your maintenance, and uses drugs. You are permitted to request a divorce from him or a khul‘ (dissolution of marriage). If he refuses, you may take him to court to remove the harm from yourself. We do not advise you to remain with him unless he ceases his harm and fulfills your rights.
