Is it permissible to marry a woman who grew up in a Christian household and attends church, but then became doubtful of Christian beliefs (especially the crucifixion and redemption) and believes in the existence of a Creator for the universe, though not in the current Christian understanding?

It is permissible to marry a chaste Christian woman who does not believe in some of the falsehoods of her religion, based on the words of Allah Almighty: "This day [all] good foods have been made lawful for you. And the food of those who were given the Scripture is lawful for you, and your food is lawful for them. And [lawful in marriage are] the chaste women from among the believers and the chaste women from among those who were given the Scripture before you" (Al-Ma'idah:5).

However, a Muslim man marrying a righteous Muslim woman is better and purer, because she will assist him in his religion and raise his children upon the creed and morals of Islam. As for marrying a woman from the People of the Book, there are often precautions and negative consequences.
