The husband's sexual weakness is not a defect that annuls the marriage, unless it reaches the point of impotence (inability to penetrate). Even in the case of complete impotence, haste is not permissible; the majority of scholars oblige a one-year postponement for the impotent husband for treatment. If he still cannot consummate the marriage after that, his wife is given the choice to stay or separate. The wife's father must return his daughter to her husband to support him during his treatment period, and the husband must strive for treatment, prayer, and seeking forgiveness.
