What is the torment of the grave, and does it occur immediately upon death, and is it different from the torment of the Day of Judgment?

The first glimpse of the unseen pertaining to the Afterlife that a servant experiences is at the time of death, when angels descend upon him to seize his soul. Then, the soul is returned to its owner in the grave, and the two angels come to him for the questioning of the grave. Following this, there will be either the torment or the bliss of the grave until the Day of Resurrection. Thereafter, come the terrors of the Day of Judgment and its stages, including the Scale (Mizan), the scattering of the scrolls (Suhuf), the presentation for accountability, and passing over the Sirat, until the final abode is either Paradise or Hellfire. The torment of the grave cannot be compared to the torment of the Afterlife.
