Is it permissible to take the price of the lost machine from those who used it with me?

If the use of the machinery is by way of donation, then there is no harm. However, if it is by way of obligation, then it is not permissible, unless they were the ones who damaged it, based on the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: “The property of a Muslim person is not lawful except with his willing consent.” And her allowing them to use her machinery is something praiseworthy for which she will be rewarded.
