How is inheritance divided between six daughters and a half-brother (from the father's side)?

The six daughters inherit two-thirds as a fixed share, due to there being more than two of them, in accordance with verse 11 of Surat An-Nisa. The remaining one-third is inherited by the brother from the father by 'asabah (residuary heir), based on the hadith: "Give the fixed shares to their rightful recipients, and whatever remains is for the closest male heir."

Thus, the inheritance is divided into 9 shares: the daughters receive 6 shares (one share for each), and the brother receives 3 shares.

Inheritance matters must be submitted to the Sharia courts due to the possibility of wills or debts that the heirs may not be aware of, which take precedence over their rights, in order to safeguard the rights of both the living and the deceased.
