Is a woman's refusal to commit adultery with the driver who murdered her son and threatened to kill her considered right or wrong, and why?

A woman who is killed in defense of her honor is considered a martyr. Scholars have differed regarding the preferable action: enduring coercion to commit forbidden acts, or taking advantage of the concession. Imam Ahmad held that patience is superior even when a concession exists. In contrast, the judge (Al-Qadi) was of the opinion that it is better not to outwardly manifest disbelief, even if it leads to death, citing the stories of Khubayb and Ammar as evidence.
