Is it permissible for a person to have sexual intercourse with his mother or sisters under threat of death from armed individuals, and is his killing for refusing considered suicide?

What has been mentioned regarding a man being coerced into committing adultery with his mother or sister is a grave calamity. Whoever is afflicted by this should be patient and choose death over adultery, because adultery is not permissible under duress according to most scholars. Also, he would not be safe from his enemy, and would live with shame and pain. Many jurists believe that it is not permissible to commit adultery under duress, as it involves violating people's rights and bringing disgrace and shame upon the woman. The Malikis permit it if the woman is willing and unmarried. As for the legal punishment (hadd) for the coerced individual, scholars have differed: According to the two companions (Abu Yusuf and Muhammad ibn al-Hasan) in the Hanafi school, the Malikis, and the most prominent view among the Shafi'is, there is no hadd punishment for the coerced due to the شبهة الإكراه (doubt of coercion). However, the Hanbalis and most Malikis hold that the hadd punishment is obligatory upon him, because intercourse can only occur with an erection that happens by choice.
