Is it true that whoever leaves much food on the Day of Resurrection will have Satan running after him?

There is no evidence for the validity of the statement, "He who leaves behind money or food upon his death is blameworthy." Rather, leaving money for heirs is better than leaving them poor. And he who leaves behind surplus food is not blameworthy, especially if it harms his health or affects others. What is more befitting for a Muslim is to avoid extravagance in food.
