What is the ruling on stamp collecting, and is zakat due on it, given that its value reaches 200,000 Riyals and its collector has not paid zakat on it for 20 years?

Collecting stamps is a frivolous pursuit that a Muslim should avoid, as it is a waste of money with no benefit, and a person will be questioned about their wealth and how they spent it. Zakat is not obligatory on stamps acquired for personal use. However, if they are for trade, then the zakat on trade goods applies to them.
