The answer

Old coins and collected stamps are not subject to Zakat, unless they are in circulation, or contain gold and silver and reach the nisab and a year passes over them, or they are intended for trade, in which case they are subject to trade goods Zakat. One should not occupy themselves with collecting stamps due to it being a waste of money, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The feet of a servant will not move on the Day of Resurrection until he is asked about his life and how he spent it, about his knowledge and what he did with it, about his wealth - from where he acquired it and in what he spent it, and about his body - in what he wore it out."
