What is the ruling on studying medicine in departments of applied medical sciences, such as physical therapy, speech and hearing disorders, and nutrition, with the aim of serving humanity and alleviating the suffering of patients?

Studying this knowledge for the service of the community is permissible, and it may become a communal obligation (fard kifaya) if the Muslim nation needs it and there is no one to undertake it, similar to the study of medicine, industry, agriculture, and other beneficial sciences. These actions become an act of worship to Allah when the intention is pure and righteous.
