Is it a sin to adopt the view that divorce does not occur during a period of purity in which intercourse has taken place, given that an explicit divorce has occurred twice previously and there is a difference of opinion on the fatwa between Dar al-Ifta and Al-Azhar al-Sharif?

It is not permissible to adopt an opinion merely because it aligns with one's desires. Rather, it is permissible if it comes from a trustworthy and reliable source who issued the fatwa. One is guided to avoid doubtful matters, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever avoids doubtful matters has absolved his religion and his honor." And likewise, "Leave what makes you doubt for what does not make you doubt," and "Consult your heart. Righteousness is that with which the soul is at peace and the heart is at rest. Sin is that which wavers in the soul and causes hesitation in the breast, even if people give you a fatwa and another fatwa."
