Is it permissible for me to wash my car with the irrigation water allocated by the state for plants, given that workers do this for 50 riyals a month?

It is not permissible for an employee to use state-funded water for washing cars, because it is designated for irrigation, and any other use is considered consuming the state's wealth unlawfully. This act must be ceased immediately, and the value of the water used for washing cars must be calculated and paid to the department, or an equivalent amount of water must be purchased for irrigating crops, or it must be given as charity for a public benefit to Muslims. What was paid to the workers is not to be deducted from the value of the water owed to the department. The Permanent Committee for Scholarly Research and Ifta has issued a fatwa stating the impermissibility of using government vehicles for personal purposes, and Sheikh Muhammad ibn Salih al-Uthaymeen issued a fatwa prohibiting the use of government tools for private work, except for things that cause no harm, such as a ruler.
