Will the deceased be held accountable in the grave, and what is the nature of their reckoning and the passage of time for them? What will be the state of the people of Paradise, and what will they do therein? What is the reason for the feeling of denying reckoning, Paradise, and Hellfire, and for prayers not being answered to strengthen faith, and are there books to strengthen faith?

The questioner must rid themselves of psychological obsessions and the whispers of Satan that transform into doubts, and realize that these are mere obsessions and not genuine doubts. Denying the Hereafter leads to disorder and chaos in thought, for the worldly life with its great events indicates that there is an end where justice will be established. Sheikh Ali Al-Tantawi affirms that the psychological evidence for the existence of the Hereafter lies in man's intuitive realization that this material world is not everything, and that material pleasures are limited and turn into habits. Furthermore, belief in the existence of the Hereafter is a necessary consequence of believing in a just God who rewards the good-doer and punishes the wrongdoer. Therefore, one must abandon this reckless thinking and turn the heart away from obsessions, and maintain piety within oneself and the mind, for it is true madness to deny the Creator, glorified be He, despite the magnificence of His creation.
