What is the Shar’i ruling regarding a husband who rejects the Prophetic Sunnah and the interpretations of scholars, and interprets the Qur’an according to his whims, which leads him to doubt the pillars of the religion such as prayer and the existence of the Companions, denies the infallibility of the Prophets, and spreads these ideas among his children?

The characteristics attributed to this husband range from reprehensible innovation (bid'ah munkarah) to apparent disbelief (kufr), and even blatant disbelief and a denial of the Holy Quran and Sunnah. Examples include his statement that the Prophet's (peace be upon him) multiple marriages were due to his lust and not a divine command, and his assertion that Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) was the son of one of the angels who incarnated for Mary, as well as his denial of the existence of the Companions.

All of these claims are refuted with conclusive evidence from the Holy Quran and the Prophetic Sunnah. It has been established that the Prophet's marriages were by divine command, that Jesus the son of Mary was created without a father by the word "Be," and that the Companions exist and are mentioned in the Holy Quran.

If the husband insists on his ideas, the wife should strive to hold sessions to dispel these misconceptions. Otherwise, she should refer her case to the Sharia judge for a ruling and a separation. She must also protect her children from these ideas and teach them their religion.
