Does a wife's obedience mean she is not mature, and is a woman to be confined for discipline while a man is not, and does disciplining a woman mean she needs upbringing, and does a woman have independence in Islam?

A woman's seeking permission from her husband when leaving the marital home is not related to maturity (rushd); rather, it is a ruling that applies to all women and men, pertains to the husband's right, and serves to regulate the marital relationship and consider the family's interests. However, she may leave without his permission out of necessity if the husband cannot meet that necessity.

As for independence after the end of custody, a male, once he reaches puberty and maturity, is allowed independence, whereas a female is not, and her guardian prevents her out of fear for her from corruption. This is not exclusive to females; it includes anyone for whom there is a fear of temptation or corruption, such as a beardless youth.

Discipline and prevention of corruption are not exclusive to women but also include men if there is a fear of corruption for them, and it is a means of upbringing.

A woman's financial independence is an established right for her, and there is no difference between her and a man in this regard. The principle in Islamic rulings is equality between women and men, except for what the evidence has specified due to differences in creation, nature, and capabilities.
