What is the validity of the statement that children born out of wedlock inherently possess a degree of evil, and how can the situation be remedied? A child born of zina (illicit sexual relations) bears no sin or guilt for the crime of their parents. Their rectitude or deviation depends on their upbringing. If they receive a good upbringing and are not shunned by society, their condition will be upright. It is imperative to focus on raising children, fortifying them with a righteous environment and upright companions, occupying their free time with beneficial activities, attaching their hearts to the mosque, encouraging them to seek knowledge, strengthening their faith by maintaining adhkar (remembrances) and reciting the Quran, utilizing seasons of obedience, and frequently supplicating. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Three supplications are answered without a doubt: the supplication of the oppressed, the supplication of the traveler, and the supplication of a parent against their child." Furthermore, efforts must be made to improve the spouse so that they participate in the upbringing, and emphasis should be placed on prayer, for it is the pillar of the religion.
