What should a person do if, after performing ablution (istinja'), drops of urine undoubtedly continue to discharge and only stop after some time, but if he waits for them to stop, he will miss the congregational prayer, and if he tries to hold back the urine, his devotion (khushu') will be lost and he will fall ill?

You must wait for the urine to stop, then perform ablution (wudu) and pray. It is permissible for you to miss the congregational prayer (jama'ah) because you are excused, as long as your presence oscillates between praying without purity or praying while holding back urine, which is harmful to your health. The fear of illness waives the obligation to attend the congregational prayer and the Friday prayer. Praying while holding back urine is valid, though disliked, according to the majority of scholars. Some scholars even favored relieving oneself, even if the prayer time expires, due to the loss of focus (khushu').
