What is the ruling on one who feels a drop of urine exit after relieving himself and performing ablution, and is he obligated to repeat ablution or wash his clothes many times, which might lead to abandoning prayer?
Whoever suffers from urine drops after urinating, if that stops, then he must perform istibra' and use assistive means to empty any remaining urine. As for whoever experiences continuous urine leakage most of the time, he is afflicted with incontinence (sils), and he must perform ablution (wudu') for each prayer after its time has begun and protect himself from impurity. Abandoning prayer is a grave sin, and it is obligatory upon every Muslim; even the sick person must pray according to his ability.
