The commotion raised by biologists about the cloning of the sheep is nothing more than tampering with a fertilized egg. They removed its nucleus and injected it with a living cell from another sheep, resulting in a sheep. However, this process required more than three hundred failed attempts, and some of them resulted in "monsters." Human cloning is still impossible, and the few attempts that succeeded produced severely deformed creatures. There is another path to cloning, which is the path of twins, where scientists tried to separate the cells resulting from the division of the parent cell, but these attempts also failed. This tampering with embryos is neither creation nor innovation of humans or animals, and the affair of humans will not be like that of plants which reproduce from a part of their organs. Creation and formation are solely by Allah Almighty, and this relentless pursuit to create humans and animals by other than the way Allah has ordained is an ancient, futile, corruptive endeavor. Humans will not be able to create a new species of beings, and this is impossible and not within their purview. The attempt to dispense with the male for the female and the female for the male will not succeed. Tampering with the creation of humans is a major crime that will lead to failure and loss.
