What is the ruling of the Sharia on a man who owns real estate and yet begs, and is it permissible for a son not to advise his father to avoid filial disobedience?

A child commanding their parents to good and forbidding them from evil, and advising them with gentleness, tenderness, and good counsel, is not an act of disobedience. Rather, it is among the most obligatory duties, the most emphasized advice, and the best forms of righteousness. The proof for this is the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Religion is advice," and his saying: "Help your brother, whether he is an oppressor or oppressed." Falling into evil is oppression of oneself. Therefore, the advice must be given with kindness and gentle words, and by involving righteous people whom the parents trust.
